Better late than never, right…
Pepper Steak and Gravy
1 whole bell pepper
1 whole onion
1 jar of brown gravy
3 tbsp. mushrooms from a jar
1 pkg. round steak (about 1 pound)
salt & pepper and garlic powder to taste
Cut strips of meat, about 1 inch by 1/2 inch. Tenderize and cook over medium heat until tender. Cut peppers and onions in small squares and put into pan with meat, mushrooms, and spices. Saute’ until veggies are somewhat tender. Add gravy and simmer until meat is tender to eat. Serve over rice.
Folks, this is as easy as they get. I promise to come up with something more unique for next week, but I just got back in town and didn’t have time to track another down. I cook this as a staple around our household. It’s great with mashed potatoes, as well as rice!
