Looking Forward

Man, I’d say February started off with a bang, wouldn’t you?  I really thought we were past all this blizzard business and was looking forward to warmer weather to come.  BUT, they tell me not to look forward just yet.  Apparently, MORE snow is headed our way.  Let’s all say a collective YIPPEE!

Oh well, it’s not all THAT bad.  Some of us enjoyed having nearly an ENTIRE week home from school.  The rest of us went a little nuts being cooped up with ALL boys!  Thank the good Lord for our sweet and wonderful lab, Zipper, who keeps me sane.  HA!

Here’s a peek at what we experienced last week…

We woke to this as we looked out the front door on Tuesday morning.  Nice.

It was just the beginning, though.  There was plenty more where that came from…

If you’re wondering at the change in photos here, it’s because the first couple were taken through the glass of our back windows.  I’m no dummy.  It was COLD!  The next few were taken a few hours later as the snow started to calm a bit.  I ventured outside with the camera for all of 5 minutes! :)

Since the temps outside were brutal, the boys were only allowed out to play for minutes at a time.  It was basically 30 minutes of bundling them up and getting them ready only to bring them back in 10 minutes later.  It was worth it, though.  It’s not often they see snow like this in Oklahoma.

Here are a few shots of what we did to pass the time INSIDE for a solid week!

Yep, you’re right.  Puzzles DID NOT last long.  We moved on to Play-Doh, Computer Games, Movies, EATING, EATING, EATING, and finally coloring.  I’d love to hear comments on how you guys spent the time inside last week.  Apparently, I’m gonna need some good ideas for this week, too.  Come on, help a girl out, will ya!

We pretty much had the same week. Lot’s of legos, hot wheels, movies (some how “Despicable Me” turned into “Speak-a-to-me”?)and some Wii bowling.

When my kids have a snow day we make cookies, play wii games, do art projects etc. All the normal things. One thing I have been wanting to try is fingerpainting with pudding. I think my kids would enjoy that. Good luck!!
